Bookmaking Basics
All Levels Welcome
Learn the art of bookmaking. Using artisan papers and magazines participants will collage and design book covers and learn to bind booklets. Participants will learn the chain stitch and the pamphlet stitch and the accordion fold. Participants will leave class with three or more different style books and all the tools and materials necessary to make more books at home. This is a perfect class to repurpose some of your old artwork or repurpose some of your kids artwork into book covers or book pages, so bring some to class if you have any. Kids 8 and under will need to be accompanied by adults- there will be measuring and sewing.
Class length - 3 hours
Day and Time- Saturday, April 5th, 2:00-5:00
Materials - Tea, and all supplies and materials included.
Participants leave class with their own awl, paper folder, beeswax, and needle.
Tuition- $65.00
