About Pat Horton

Pat has been living in Sedgwick, Maine on the very inspiring Bagaduce River since 1987. She retired from the Blue Hill Public Library in 2015 where she had been the Youth Services Librarian since 2009. Prior to that, she held the same position at the Witherle Memorial Library in Castine.

Pat has always loved to knit with wool but then after taking a felting workshop, her eyes were opened to another way of creating with this versatile fiber. Pat’s first public debut with her woolly felted work was a show at the Blue Hill Public Library which a friend and her had together in 2022. After that, Pat was lucky enough to be accepted in 6 galleries and shops in Maine.

Pat considers her work to be fun, funky and functional. Having the opportunity to teach children to felt is just the icing on the cake. They know no boundaries when it comes to creativity and their imaginations just take flight.
