Dress up and Draw

Come together in community and creativity for this playful winter escape. Play dress up and learn the art of figure drawing or hone your drawing skills using gesture exercises. Participants will have the chance to dress up, model, and draw in this 2-hour class.
Come solo or bring a friend, partner or loved one.
All levels welcome, beginner's mind encouraged.
Includes snacks and mulled cider, BYOB welcome.
What is Gesture Drawing ? Gesture drawing is a series of quick sketches that capture the essence of the model's pose, action or movement. Using Line, tone and markings gesture drawings can be expressed realistically or abstractly. The class will focus on short gesture drawing exercises and end with longer standing poses. Gesture poses will be anywhere from 30 seconds to five minutes.
